George R.R. Martin, the author of "Game of Thrones," has shared an update on "The Winds of Winter." The author has been writing the sixth novel in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series since 2010. Martin says he has been working "almost every day. Writing, rewriting, editing, writing some more."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly published in July, Martin says that he’d get back to writing The Winds of Winter at the start of 2012 once the publicity cycle for A Dance With Dragons

Fuck him. I'm not going to watch House of the Dragon. I'm not going to read Duck and Egg and I probably won't bother with Winds of Winter since I know he won't write the next book. I refuse to get involved in any incomplete series again or anything at all by George RR Martin.
