Hi. I have a 2017 fiesta EcoBoost with problem with central display working intermittently. It will come on then go off, come on again then go off and stay off. Any ideas what the problem could be? I haven't checked fuses yet as I thought if it was a fuse issue it wouldn't work at all???

With the ignition off, open the fuse box and remove the fuse (s) for the infotainment system (use the plastic tweezers provided if available). Now check the fuse (s) and see if the wire inside any of them is broken. Also check that each fuse has the correct rating, according to the information in the owner’s manual.

I've disconnected battery for 20 minutes and re-attached and the radio stopped working for a week until yesterday it came back to life but had the same problems with the various controls only working some of the time. Although unlikely I have checked the fuses and all ok.

The temp gauge says 4 bars. If i disconnect the engine temp sensor the fan runs. I fitted a new sensor and the car runs for a couple of seconds and cuts I have a 2008 Ford Fiesta Zetec Blue and i've only gone and had a minor bump this afternoon. I've drove the car home afterwards and upon inspection i've noticed a wire hanging between the front grill just above/behind the front number plate.
